Exercise for office neck and shoulders

Got problems with tight neck and shoulders? 😧

One of the best ways to get rid of the issue is to learn to move your shoulders in a different way than usual.

➡️ Get in the quadruped position - have your spine in a neutral position and keep your elbows totally straight. Then make circles through your shoulders, pull your shoulder blades down, up and back. Try to make a smooth, fluent movement. Complete 5 reps for each directions.

➡️ Next, move your shoulders in the opposite direction. This requires more coordination, so more effort for your brain 🧠 especially for the cerebellum.

➡️ Add some load to this movement - go into the high plank and try to repeat the same movements, still not bending the elbows and keeping the hips still.

Why is this helping for tight muscles?

A smooth movement requires not only a muscle contraction but also a muscle relaxation. So in order to make an easy and gentle move your body has to RELAX the muscles. Thanks to exercises like this, you body adapts and changes for better. 🏅
